Our designers typically spend 10 to 15 hours on each new design, creating all custom graphics, logo or logo enhancement as necessary, seamlessly tiling background graphics, etc. They test all designs in different browser types and monitor screen resolutions. When they work on a new design, they have a natural eye for the balance of the whole composition, such as when a graphic needs to be reversed in order to face into the page, or when a photograph needs an embossed edge or drop shadow added as a finishing touch. Griffin Web Design has years of experience creating beautiful, quick-loading sites by properly sizing and compressing the graphics, using HTML formatting and background colors when graphics aren't necessary, and reducing color palettes and redundant pixels on gifs.

Organization and Ease of Use - We encourage our clients to organize their content into a small number of logical categories in order to ensure the end user can easily find what they seek. We then use these categories consistently on every page in both the primary navigation links and as plain text links in the footer of each page.

Font Type: Cross Platform Functionality - At Griffin Web Design, we know end users have all different fonts loaded on their computers, so if you have a special font used in your logo or page headers or navigation, we will convert the text to custom graphics to ensure it looks just the way you want. If you prefer a specific font type in the body of your page, we will specify several font choices in the HTML code so the end users' computers will use the appropriate font or the appropriate substitute font.

Browser Type: Cross Platform Functionality - All our designs are tested in different browser types, and special adjustments and HTML code are added to compensate for the variances in browser interpretation of your design.

Monitor Resolutions: Cross Platform Functionality -You may have seen some websites with leftover space down the right side. This means the designer made sure the information would fit in the smallest monitor resolution (at the expense of the higher resolutions). Alternately, you may have seen websites with horizontal scrolling. This occurs when a designer optimized the page for a higher monitor resolution (at the expense of the lower resolutions). 

We test our designs to ensure they look great in multiple monitor resolutions. Techniques we regularly employ include seamlessly tiling background graphics in table cells (with percentage settings rather than straight pixel settings). This allows the background to repeat as many or as few times as necessary to appear to "stretch" or "shrink" to fit all monitor resolutions.

Search Engine Optimization and Submission - Having a beautiful, custom website is only part of what you need from for your web presence. Having a site that can be found on search engines is also vitally important. At Griffin Web Design, we have studied what search engines look for when ranking the pages they return in a search. We utilize a cross-pollination approach to optimizing our designs for search engine placement. We work with our clients to ensure pages are scattered with the appropriate keywords right in the main text; we add the keywords to the titles of the pages; and we include a description and keywords to the HTML "meta" tags behind the scenes. Also, where appropriate, we use techniques such as adding keywords in the alternate text behind the graphics and in the file names.

	Typical turnaround time for a deluxe design is two to four weeks, depending on projects ahead of yours and how quickly you can supply your content, etc. Programmed or e-commerce sites may take longer, depending on the project.
	Please Note: Portal type websites with multiple content areas on a page, intro pages, or animation would require a Deluxe Design as opposed to a standard custom design.
